Hand Turned Organs

What To See

The image of a man standing outside the cinema or on a street corner in Mary Poppins spring to mind each time the miniature marvels comes to town.

Played by an operator turning or pushing handles, each has its own unique sound. The principles of the organs are the same as their bigger brothers, but the number of notes or the volume is not as loud.

Watch out for the period costumes in the hand turned organ area, crinolines and straw hats can be seen in plenty.
